Summer reading with ...Ms. Emery
Roxaboxen is one of my all-time favorite books. It's a story about kids going outside and creating a special world out of rocks and sticks and other things found in nature. All you need is your imagination. The possibilities are endless. For anyone who loves Harvey Island, this book is for you!

Summer reading with...Ms. Stewart
How to Grow a Friend is a beautiful book with a great message about how to make a friend. I love the way the author/illustrator, Sara Gillingham, uses gardening advice and lively, colorful images to give children concrete ways to foster friendship (and tend to their garden at the same time).
Happy reading!

Summer reading...with Mrs. Freda!
If you like adventure and action with a little magic and mythology woven throughout, then Siren Sisters by Dana Langer is for you! I loved getting to know Lolly and her sisters and learning about the history of their small town located on the coast of Maine. A great summer read for lovers of fantasy stories with a twist!

Summer reading is even better with four-legged friend! Ms. Lent's dog Winnie loves to be nearby when someone is reading. Right now, Ms. Lent is reading The Blackthorn Key, one of this year's MCBA nominees. The story is historical fiction, taking place way back in the 1600s, with a main character who is an apprentice to an apothecary. The book involves history, mystery, codes, chemistry, and lots of twists and turns. If that sounds interesting to you, check out the book trailer here:
